Privacy Page

Your privacy is very important to us.  For that reason we have a few fundamental principles that we follow:

  • We don’t ask you for personal information unless we truly need it. (We can’t stand services that ask you for things like your gender or income level for no apparent reason.)
  • We don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, help answer your questions or comments, or to protect our rights.
  • We don’t store personal information on our server unless required for the on-going operation of our site.

If you leave a comment on the site we collect the data shown in the comment form, and also your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.  We also may use an external spam detection service.

If you leave a comment on the site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again if you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year. If you don’t want us to create cookies, then none will be created.

If you contact us using our contact form we collect the information shown on the contact form.  This  is used to send your contact information and inquiries or comments to us.  The information we collect is never sold or given to others.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account with the external site and are logged in to that website.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.  Information sent to use via our contact form is only retained for long enough to send your contact request.

You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns about our privacy policy.
