Painting with Enamels for All Levels

Sat. June 1 to Sun. June 2, 2024

If you’re new to enamels, this is your opportunity to learn a whole new way of painting on glass. If you have previous experience with enamels, but want to learn to do more with them, then this is your chance to develop and expand your ability to use enamels in fused glass.

We’ll work with Sunshine Enamels, a premium line of enamels made for painting. Not only will you learn to mix enamels properly, you’ll learn to combine colors to make new ones, to paint onto glass, and to fire enamels in the kiln so that they mature to their brilliant full potential. Once we have the basics down, we’ll begin working on a single layer piece.

Open to anyone with basic fusing experience. No previous painting or drawing ability is required or necessary. All materials are provided and no prior experience is necessary.

Pate de Verre Sucré

Thurs., June 10 to Sun., June 13, 2021 SOLD OUT

Another class is in the process of being scheduled.  If you’re interested, contact me or  wg@warmglass.com to get information.

At last!  After many requests, I am offering a workshop that covers the techniques I use to create the beautiful free-flowing Pate de Verre Sucré sculptures.  Pate de Verre Sucré, so-named because the pieces have a sugar-like texture, rather than the smoother texture more commonly found in Pate de Verre, is a technique that I developed and perfected over many years.

This special workshop will cover every facet of my technique, from creating your own mold to mixing colors to assembling and firing

This is a hands-on class in which students will learn to use existing molds or create their own molds. Experience with basic kiln processes is helpful, but not required.
